It's the easiest thing to do!
There are many bookstores, one on campus and several off campus. It does not matter which one you go to... |

You can buy your textbooks when you arrive on campus- |
| |
| |
Here are the few simple steps... |
| |
You need your class schedule |
You need to know the class (i.e., MTH 124) and the Section number (i.e., 006) |
At the bookstore, classes are arranged alphabetically on the shelves |
You find your section number (Some classes say "all sections," which means all |
| |
sections use the same books) |
Your book(s) will be right above the card indicating your course number on the shelf |
Sometimes a professor will not report to the bookstore what book he/she is using. In |
| |
this case you need to wait until the first day of class to find out. |
Many students buy books during the first week of classes |
Many students prefer to get their books before classes start (See below) |

What is the difference between required and recommended books? |
| |
| |
Generally, required books are needed for the class as provided by the professor. |
| |
Recommended books supplement the course topic. These books will aid in |
| |
understanding the topics covered in the course. Once classes begin, your professor |
| |
will supply you with a list of textbooks for the class on the syllabus. The bookstores |
| |
will receive the book list before classes begin. |
