Where to study is a personal preference. You may be someone who prefers to study
with a little noise in the background. On the other hand, you may be someone who
prefers to study in silence.

Tips
- Turn off cell phones, TV, beeper/pagers, Internet, Instant Message (IM)
- Some people feel that you should stay away from your room i.e., don';t
go back to your room in between classes.
- Your room should be for socializing, sleeping, watching, TV, and relaxing.
- Talk to your roommate about study times.

- Study lounge in the residence halls
- Main Library (i.e., not the first floor)
- Business Library--basement of Detroit College of Law
- The Union Building--Women's Study Lounge on the first floor
- International Center Library--first floor

If you prefer noise:
- Cyber Café--Main Library west side first floor.
- Area Coffee Shops
- Main Study Lounge in the Union--first floor
- International Center--Food Court
- Union Food Court
- Residence Hall Cafeterias

- Courtyards, gardens, other outdoor areas (seasonal)
